All eyes are on you!

As the bride you are the center of attention and lets be honest, this is your day. The first time your guests, and your groom sees your wedding dress, is when you first walk down the aisle.
This is the moment that you have been planning for, for months, if not years.

Take your time, enjoy every moment of it!

Take your time as you walk down the aisle. It's such a short walk and the whole day will pass in a flash, so try to savour every moment of it.
As you walk down the aisle, if someone catches your eye, smile at them. It will make you feel like a movie star and it will make them feel special to be acknowledged by you.

Show him you love him.

Once you reach your groom, give him your best smile and a tender kiss, Not only does this tell him that you love him but looks fabulous on the finished wedding DVD.
Whilst this is a romantic start to the service, it gives your bridesmaids time to arrange your beautiful dress behind you in the most flattering way.

Let your guests see you in the church.

Once the service has got underway, it's nice if your bridesmaids take a seat and not stand during the ceremony.Your guests have come to see you and need a nice clean view of your gorgeous dress.
Linda likes to film from the back of the aisle to capture those stunning shots of you standing at the front of the church with your dress spread out behind you and down the aisle.

You'll never know how beautiful you look if your bridesmaids are standing behind you and blocking the view of that stunning dress that you took ages deciding on.

Show that bridal dress off

When the service is over and you are walking with your new husband across the lawn or down the path from the church, be aware of the well meaning helper who can't stop themselves from gathering up your dress and carrying it for you.

I still remember the beautiful bride and her father walking up the church path to the front doors of the church and as I brought them into soft focus, out stepped from behind them came the photographer's wife with arms full of white silk as if she was bringing in the washing.

We always say to the bride,......
"We know that it's a stunning dress and that it cost a fortune. We know that you don't want to get it dirty, but we also know that when you view yourself on screen you will be amazed at how gorgeous you and your dress will look.".......
and that's why we always ask the bride and groom to stroll about as much as possible.

How to film the bridal dress

If you're going to be filming a wedding, here's some things to capture on video.

Make sure that you get plenty of closeups of the detail of the dress ie the sequins, any motifs or embroidery designs and even the stitching.
A must is the way the dress is laced up at the back, remember, the bride can't see this detail and is relying on you to show it to her.

Also get shots of the way the dress glides over the grass or flows down stairways and steps.
Try to get shots of confetti sitting on the trail of the dress or caught in the folds and if the bride has diamonds in her veil, get a close up of these and make sure they sparkle. We always add a sparkle or two in the studio to make the dress even more luxurious.
