The Andy Betts Roadshow has been a forerunner, covering  weddings from Ipswich to London, for the past 30yrs.

Back in the murky mists of time in the mid 70's, before I was seduced by the wonder of wedding videography into giving up all my Saturday nights, me and Linda were always going out, to either a wedding reception, engagement party, local football do, or just to the Conservative club on Clapgate Lane.
And it seemed that every Saturday, so was Andy Betts and his roadshow.
Weddings, parties or any celebrations and Andy Betts went hand in hand.

Staying the course

There were others of course, but none that has stayed the test of time and consistently moved forward as Andy and of course now, his protege Gareth.

A 1st class DJ

Gareth is one of our favourite DJs. He's got the right mix of informality and professionalism that you need in a DJ for an entertaining wedding DVD.
Don't forget, you're not only hiring him to entertain you and your guests, you're also inviting him to your wedding. Any one you hire has to be someone you feel comfortable with. And Gareth is the friendliest guy around.

The right mix

Your DJ has to be able to mix not only the music, but the right blend of chat at the same time. It's no good having a DJ that rants on all night, insults your guests or just spouts gibberish or even worse, one that never speaks and you start to wonder if there's anyone on stage behind all the lights.

Lights, smoke and bubbles

Speaking of lights, the Andy Betts Roadshow has an amazing array of special effects, ranging from flashing lights to red and green laser lights, from bubble machines to snow machines, flame machines and of course the dry ice smoke machines. 
When we video the first dance, we always ask the DJ to put everything on at their disposal, because we know that the effect on the finished DVD is fantastic, and Gareth never fails to deliver.

Making those all important announcements

On top of this, he's always willing to catch our attention before he makes an announcement, and this is important for a number of reasons.
          One reason is that even if it's just to announce the buffet is now open, or the Bride and Groom are ready to cut the wedding cake, this gives us footage to make an interesting wedding DVD that has a story line and not just a jumble of shots strung together, like some amateur film makers produce.
           But more importantly, he waits until we are in position to capture parents reactions when surprised presentations are made, be it a bouquet of flowers, or their eldest son who has just made it back from Australia in time for the big day.
          These things happen so fast, and the look on peoples faces cannot be repeated, but they can be captured and replayed, with cooperation between professionals that have worked well together on so many occasions.

A guaranteed hit
