An historical country house

We were recently filming at the Priory Hall in Hadleigh and whilst I was interviewing the Bride's father, it was mentioned that he'd done some remedial work on the roof, which made me look again at the actual building and not for the first time did I see it as the magnificent reminder of a long gone age that it really was.

Step back to a more romantic time

At every great house that we film, there comes a moment when things slow down, the Bride and Groom go up to their room, the children find a quite corner to play or everyone just chills out.
When this happens, the cars seem to disappear, the stone drive winds across open fields and you hear the sound of horses hooves as a carriage arrives and deposits visitors or maybe just the mail.

A Tudor Hall

It's that time when you realize that this house has stood on this spot for over five hundred years. The half-timbered walls are hung with shields and swords for decoration, but at one time they were there for a more practical reason but still, wouldn't you like to step back to a more romantic time, even if it is for just one day?

Romantic flower gardens

Imagine taking  a stroll with your new husband or wife through the beautiful flower gardens, the blossoming apple trees in the orchard or across the gently sloping lawns to the private lake.
If you like water features, there is a fully stocked lily pond surrounded by flowers and a stone terraced area, where wedding couples can sit and chat with a long cool glass by their side.

Licensed for Civil and Partnership Ceremonies

The Tudor Hall  can hold 150 guests and is licensed for Civil and Partnership Ceremonies. Complemented by an impressive marquee for your wedding breakfast, be it a cold buffet of wild Scottish salmon, or a whole hog roast, this is a stunning addition to the celebrations and an ideal setting for the start of the days entertainment, better known as the Best Man's speech.

Filming your first dance

We have filmed a number of times at the Priory and the hall is one of the most stunning halls to film in.
From filming the wedding service, to filming the first dance from the minstrels gallery, the finished wedding DVD captures a magical quality that is Priory Halls alone.
