We shoot on average forty wedding videos every year, with the number going up year by year due to the increased popularity of having your wedding recorded to video and of course now Blu-ray.
We're often asked if we prefer to video summer or winter weddings the most and honestly I'm not sure. Both have their good points.
In summer, people seem more relaxed, more looking to chill out and just enjoy the day. They can't wait to get into the grounds where the wedding is being held and after a Pimms or two, they just mellow.
The birds are singing in the trees and the drone of insects and bees all add to the wedding video to show how romantic the day is and of course a film showing a beautiful bride in her wedding dress walking amongst the flowers is worth is worth a thousand snaps.
People can't stop smiling and they get that touchy feely sense of well being. Girls hug friends like they haven't seen each other for years and guys too, though the more conservative among them, still stick to shaking hands.
Compare this to winter weddings where the guests have their hands deep in their pockets and their collars up..... but then comes the bride and her bridesmaids...... complete with little fur jackets over their shoulders and smiles that brighten any winters day.
One of our best wedding videos featured bridesmaids running through a wood to a shepherds cottage..... and then it started to snow!! The resulting footage was magical. Added to this I was using a glide-cam device attached to the camera and running alongside, which gave the wedding video the impression that the camera was floating in midair.
Summer or winter wedding DVDs, they both look fantastic if filmed correctly by a professional videographer that not only has the right equipment.....but also the know how to use it!!!
Give us a call, or get in touch and let us know how we can film your wedding video, for you................you owe it to yourself !!!
