WEDDING DVD FOR BRIDES...... GETTING THE "LOOK" THAT YOU DESERVE ON VIDEO!!!!

We've been asked by a bride one of the most unusual and exciting requests in our filming careers. She's seen a clip of a girl riding a horse into the surf and she wants this included in her wedding video if possible.
Now we always say that, with certain exceptions, like leaping out of a plane thank you very much, we're only limited by your imagination. We get a lot of our inspiration from TV adverts. If you think about it, the film maker has only about twenty seconds to capture and hold your attention and that's what we want to do, but we've got to do it for an hour and a half.
The video below was inspired by lots of different images that we'd seen over the years and the look we were trying to achieve is one of a demure, dreamy bride [the slow mo shots as Laura turns her head and looks directly into the video camera] and a passionate bride who's deeply in love with her groom and so happy to be getting married [running down the aisle, was by the way inspired by a Linkin Park music video with a nod to the closing scenes in the 1960s film " The Graduate" and if we could've gotten them running and jumping onto a No 8 bus it would have been perfect].
But the point is that Laura knew we wanted to do something special for her wedding video and so she allowed time into the day for us to get the shots we needed.
You'll find examples on this site where brides have given us this time, shots where we went to a local marina and filmed shots of them walking along the river bank. There's also shots of a couple at Tide Mill with a backdrop of Yachts at their moorings or along the beach walking on the shingle. We took our wedding couple to the ice cream kiosk where they bought ice cream cones and were the center of attention, how many times have you seen a bride in her wedding dress enjoying an icecream. We've got a sequence where the couple went to a castle and walked in the grounds with the general public turning to look and you hear comments like "Ooh, doesn't she look beautiful!!".
I've honestly lost time of the number of people that've come up to us to ask if it's someone "famous" and will it be on "telly".
Getting back to the girl on horseback, she'd seen a video on the net from the USA of a bride in her wedding dress riding her horse into the sea and this was her dream. She sent us photos of herself and her horse and we were hooked straight away. Added to this she wants her young daughter in her bridesmaids dress also riding her pony alongside and we've got the making of a fantastic piece of film and after we've colour tinted the film to give it that Miami CSI look it'll be a showstopping wedding video.
In most weddings unfortunately, the couple don't give thought to the time required to get these shots and so we have to fight for every second, so discuss them ahead of time with your videographer and let both your photographer and the catering staff know ......You owe it to yourself!!!!
In wrapping up, keep watching film and TV, keep thinking about how you want to look on your wedding video and then give us a call so we can help you to make your film, your way!!!!
